Cities, citizens, communities

Our research analyses emerging practices and connections that shape relations between cities, citizens and communities.

We are interested in how lived experiences and interactions affect processes of community-making at the local level and how social and ecological sustainability can be promoted through inclusive mechanisms of urban participation.

Through our work, we promote an understanding of how and with what consequences community relations evolve in urban contexts and how cities could better adapt to people’s needs in increasingly diverse societies.
