Governance, politics, the everyday
Our research explores the connections and contradictions between people’s everyday lives
and societal governance.
We are interested in how individuals and collectives strive for a better life and sustainable society. Our focus is on how everyday practices and experiences construct and are constructed through governance arrangements, policy designs, and societal structures.
We seek to understand how policies, structures, and practices of governance enable or restrict people’s aims, and change accordingly. We are curious about social and political possibilities that emerge as people live their lives, participate in communities and wider society, or perform their professional duties.
