Jonas Sjöblom’s doctoral research focuses on citizen participation in the processes and practices of urban planning in Finland.
The dissertation consists of case studies concerning the effect of social media on the work of urban planners, the participatory planning process of Hiedanranta in Tampere and cultural resources of local activists in participation at the neighbourhood level in Helsinki.
